Tripa Lanka is a dedicated private tour service run by a passionate, experienced Sri Lankan travel expert who personally accompanies you every step of the way. There are no coach parties and no hand-offs between drivers. The person who plans your route is the person who drives it.
From the rock fortress at Sigiriya to the whale-watching waters off Mirissa, each journey is personally planned and personally guided. Your trip, your pace, your memories.

Questions
Good to know
Is the price per person?
No. The US$80 a day covers the private vehicle and your driver-guide for your whole group, plus fuel, tolls, parking and the guide's own meals and room. Hotels, entrance tickets and your meals are paid separately.
Which vehicle will we travel in?
We match the vehicle to your group size, luggage and route. Every vehicle is private and air-conditioned, and we confirm the details with you before you arrive.
Can we change the route?
Always. Every itinerary on this site is a starting point. Add days, swap places, slow down or speed up, and we will redraw the plan and the price.
Do you book hotels?
We suggest places to stay at every stop to suit your budget, from family guesthouses to boutique hotels, and help you book them. Hotels are paid separately.
Do we need a visa?
Most nationalities need an Electronic Travel Authorisation, applied for online before you fly. We send you the official link when you book.
When should we come?
There is good weather somewhere on the island all year. The west and south coasts are best from December to March, the east coast from May to September, and the hills are pleasant year round.
